Asha Martin launched her first ecommerce store in 2008, selling cremation urns and memorial products from her spare room. Initially a one-person operation, she built the websites, imported stock, packed orders, and handled sales and marketing herself.
The business grew into a West Footscray retail store and a warehouse operation holding more than 1,500 SKUs. Through Wholesale Funeral Products Australia, it now supplies hundreds of funeral homes and crematoriums across the country.
Asha has managed everything from international manufacturing and shipping to customs, warehousing and marketing. Her interest in efficiency, API integrations and software grew from a simple need: making a complex business manageable with a small team.
SlayCommerce brings that experience into apps built for other ecommerce founders—practical solutions shaped by the work, not just the theory.
